The VAPF Group collaborates with ASPANION in La FE's HEICOP Pediatric Oncology Research project.

The VAPF Group is once again collaborating with the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer of the Valencian Community - ASPANION, this time, by donating to the La Fe Health Research Institute (IIS La Fe).
The donation will go to the HEICOP project “Towards excellence in clinical research in paediatric oncology: new drugs and therapeutic procedures in the cure of children and adolescents with cancer” led by Dr. Adela Cañete, head of the Pediatric Oncology Unit at the La Fe Hospital and researcher at IIS La Fe.
The aim of this project is to support the Paediatric Oncology Clinical Trials Management Unit.
Carrying out stage I-II clinical trials for the incorporation of new drugs in the optimal and regulated conditions of the La Fe Health Research Institute is a priority in order to provide more therapeutic options for patients in our geographical area with very serious cases of cancer or those who have suffered a relapse.
Also, conducting Stage III clinical trials under optimal conditions is essential to ensure adequate quality and safety in the application of both treatments that are considered standard and other more complex ones to improve cure rates with fewer long-term side effects.
It's an honour for the VAPF GROUP to collaborate, for yet another year, with ASPANION on scientific projects to improve the treatment and survival of young people with cancer.
