Grupo VAPF collaborates with the Fundación Salud y Comunidad (Health and Community Foundation) through its local collaborator Make a Smile.

Grupo VAPF, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, has begun an economic collaboration with the Fundación Salud y Comunidad through its local collaborator Make a Smile, destined to cover basic needs of children in children’s shelters closest to our community.
Children’s shelters are residential attention resources belonging to the Generalitat that attend to children and adolescents in temporary care and/or guardianship, and which do not have an ideal family atmosphere. They are focused on normalization, global development and positive social integration of the children in the community.
Make a Smile was founded in 2008 to respond to the acute needs of children’s shelters as a result of the economic crisis.
Now, on its tenth anniversary, Make a Smile finances educational programmes, covers extracurricular activities, provides school equipment, birthday and Christmas presents and any other needs not covered by the Foundation.
Make A Smile collects funds donated by companies and private individuals, with volunteers in different campaigns, recycling furniture and other articles, and has just opened its first charity shop.
In the last few years, local children’s shelters lack funds for even the most basic needs. Make A Smile does important work for the community by collecting funds to cover all the needs that the Foundation cannot, for a group of 50 children and a home with 24 young mentally disabled people.
