The escalation of violence in the Gaza Strip is having a catastrophic impact on the physical and emotional well-being and mental health of children.

44% of the population in Gaza are children who, due to the hostilities, have been forced to flee, many of them unaccompanied. Most are taking refuge in overcrowded conditions, living under siege, facing hunger, threats, and explosions.

At Grupo VAPF, we wanted to collaborate financially with UNICEF so they can continue working to reach the most vulnerable and offer them safety and protection.

La población en Gaza carece de agua, alimentos, combustible y medicinas.

UNICEF remains present in the Gaza Strip, addressing the needs of the population:

  • Providing access to a minimum amount of quality water daily to meet basic needs.

  • Distributing medical supplies.

  • Supplying food supplements, micronutrients, and high-energy biscuits to nearly 200,000 children aged 6 months to 2 years.

  • Conducting recreational activities to improve the emotional well-being of school-aged children.

  • Providing psychosocial support.

  • Providing cash assistance to families for access to food, bottled water, clothing, and other necessary goods.

UNICEF continues to focus on the essential needs of children in terms of protection and humanitarian assistance, but access remains difficult and dangerous.

Because a child is a child, no matter where they are born, at Grupo VAPF we have once again wanted to collaborate with UNICEF in the fundamental defense of the rights of children in Gaza.
